IIT Goa asks students to frame questions and answer them in exam

A unique examination pattern has gone viral in social media where Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Goa has asked the student to frame their own question and answer them.


The paper that went viral is clearly seen that the IIT has not written any question in the question paper, but it stated in question no 1. “Prepare the question of 60 marks from the lecture materials provided to you in the entire semester (Lecture 1 to 30). It should reflect your understanding of the course and also must be answered in 2 hours. Avoid discussing with your friends. It may reduce your score if similarities are found.” This ‘question’ consists of 30 marks.


The second question stated “Answer the question you prepared” of 40 marks. The total exam of 70 marks and the time provided 180 minutes. This is the last semester question paper on 'Analog Circuit' at IIT Goa.


Many people have liked this method of the institute very much. Most social media users have praised the institute for this method and many say it is a great way to protect students from usual mug up method.
