Kavya Chopra becomes first female to get 300/300 in JEE mains

In February attempt she scored 99.97 percentile; not satisfied with the score she appeared again

JEE Main March 2021 results are declared. Kavya Chopra from Delhi has created history by becoming the first-ever female candidate to get 300 out of 300 marks in the Engineering Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Exam. She had scored 99.97 percentile in her February attempt but was not satisfied with the score. Hence, she decided to appear for the JEE Mains again in March.

She has been qualifying RMO continuously from 9th standard. She had scored 97.6% in her class 10 and qualified NSEA in Class 11. After qualifying INJSO in 10th, she joined HomiBhabha Centre. She has also qualified IOQP, IOQC and IOQM.

Now preparing for her IIT entrance exam she eyed for IIT-Delhi or IIT-Bombay and take up computer sciences. “I love mathematics and computer science is the application of mathematics and is a financially stable career too,” Kavya told a leading portal.

She also quoted saying to a leading news portal “My parents always treated me and my brother equally. I was never discriminated against personally based on my gender but I am aware that not many girls in India are not as privileged. Even though I have never been discriminated against myself, I am aware of what other girls go through. I might not be able to understand the gravitas of my feat now but I am grateful.”

Sharing her study plan Kavya put in about 7 to 8 hours daily to her studies. She had moved to Kota, the hub of IIT, JEE preparation to materialise her dream of becoming an engineer like her father.Her mother is a teacher. She is a student of Allen Career Institute, Kota.
