Odisha govt approves Rs 95 crore for school infrastructure development

The nod comes on Monday from the authorities at the 26th Executive Council meeting.

In a bid to improve the education sector, Odisha government has approved projects worth Rs 95 crore to develop school infrastructure in around 23 districts of the state.


The nod comes on Monday from the authorities at the 26th Executive Council meeting of Mo School Abhiyan.


According to sources, Alumni members amongst various philanthropic organisations joined together and contributed Rs 11.56 crore for the development of the government schools in Odisha.


Further, financial aid of Rs 20 crore was granted to Mo School Abhiyan by various CSR funds, whereas the council approved projects worth Rs 94.70 crore, officials said.


Meanwhile, a special academic committee has been set up that will recommend the strategies for the academic development of schools.
