The Police said that nearly seven of their personnel were injured during the protest and hence they have registered an FIR under Section 188

The doctors and health officials of major government hospitals in Delhi said that they will continue their protests until their demands are fulfilled. The doctors are protesting in Delhi against delays in holding NEET-PG counseling.

"We've decided to continue our protest from Safdarjung Hospital until our demands are met... As night curfew has been imposed in the city, we returned to Safdarjung and will continue our protest from there," said Dr Kul Saurabh Kaushik, general secretary of Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA) on Tuesday.

The Police said that nearly seven of their personnel were injured during the protest and hence they have registered an FIR under Section 188 and also in other sections for causing obstruction in the duty of police and damaging public property during the protest etc.

On the other hand, FORDA has alleged police brutality during the protection and hence called for a complete shutdown of all healthcare institutions from Monday.

The doctors also held a protest march close to Safdarjung Hospital on Monday evening.

As per the report, on 24 December, Indian Medical Association wrote a letter to PM  Modi to resolve the NEET-PG counselling crisis and supply manpower in order to face a possible third wave of COVID-19 infections.
