The Staff Selection Commission has decided to postpone the phase-9 examination. The important exam was due to be held from 2 to 10 February. The decision has been made due to the assembly elections in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab. All recruitment exams have been postponed for these states.
All the candidates who were allotted examination centres in these three states will now have to wait for the rescheduled dates. These states will have important elections over the course of February and March.
“Due to the announcement of General Elections (Legislative Assembly) in five States, the Commission has decided to postpone the Selection Post Examinations, (Phase-IX), 2021, SSC said in a notice. At the official website ssc.nic.in. candidates can find the notice.
“The rescheduled SSC selection post exam date for the affected students will be announced in due course of time," the SSC further mentioned.
The Phase-9 exams are set to be held in a computer based test mode at centres. SSC selection posts exams are conducted in order for recruitment of different government posts including junior engineer, physiotherapist, scientific analyst, assistant and botanical assistant. The authorities will announce fresh dates for the postponed exam for these three states in future.
In this phase the recruitment drive is aimed at filling up around 3261 vacancies. Also, SSC notified that they will conduct the Phase 9 examination as per schedule in all other states.
