A day after his bail plea was rejected by a Mumbai court on Friday, Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, has filed for bail in a Mumbai Sessions Court.
According to the latest reports, Aryan, through his legal team, has filed his application for bail and the hearing is slated to take place sometime in the coming week.
Early Saturday evening, it was reported that Shah Rukh Khan's driver was summoned by the NCB for questioning. The agency wants to trace details of Aryan's whereabouts and even investigate if the driver was sent to collect drugs.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate R.M. Nerlikar rejected the bail applications of Aryan, Arbaaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha, on grounds of "maintainability", upholding the contentions of the Narcotics Control Bureau's (NCB) legal team.
The two women accused - Munmun Dhamecha and Nupur Sarika - were shunted to the Byculla Women's Jail.
