Veteran actor Dilip Kumar has been admitted to Mumbai's Khar-based Hinduja Hospital due to breathlessness today. He is under the care of a team of senior doctors, Cardiologist Dr. Nitin Gokhale and Pulmonologist Dr Jalil Parkar, at the hospital.
The 98-year-old legendary actor was hospitalized last month for a routine check-up and was later discharged.
He was having difficulty breathing for the last two days. His wife and actor Saira Banu stated that the doctor has asked the actor to undergo some tests and x-rays, after which it will be known how many more days he will have to stay in the hospital. He has requested the fans for prayers.
Last year, the actor lost his two younger brothers -- Aslam Khan (88) and Ehsan Khan (90) -- due to COVID-19.
He is best known for his performances in classics such as Kohinoor, Mughal-e-Azam, Shakti, Naya Daur and Ram Aur Shyam, to name a few. He was last seen in the 1998 film Qila.
