Producer Ashoke Pandit on Tuesday who recently backed the Parineeti Chopra starrer Saina on Tuesday announced he is set to make a film based on the life of Asian Games gold medalist Pinki Pramanik.
The filmmaker who has directed TV series Tere Mere Sapne and co-produced the film The Accidental Prime Minister, has acquired the life rights of the track and field athlete Pinki Pramanik.

The biopic will be written by Priyanka Ghatak. She said,"The story scales her highs and lows between 2008 and 2012."
Ghatak further added, "There are instances in her life as disturbing as being called a man, that too one who has committed rape, even though she." identifies herself as a woman."
Producer Ashoke Pandit has acquired the rights to the Asian Games gold medalist's story and will soon announce the lead cast and crew.
