In an interview with ANI, Chopra mentioned businessman Raj Kundra had contacted her for making films and she signed an agreement earlier, in March this year.
Sherlyn said, "He wanted me to join him and the name of the app would be the ‘Sherlyn Chopra app’." The actress was call for questioning on Friday by the Property Cell of Mumbai Crime Branch in connection with the porn film production case in which Kundra was arrested last month.
She said Kundra wanted various video contents in the online app such as for glamour, high fashion, fitness, fun and other things. She said the content concept was glamour and fashion initially but and then she was told about ‘semi-nude and nude films’.
Chopra said that she was encouraged during shoots and was told, "They used to say I am doing great and Shilpa has seen your photos and videos and has appreciated my work." The actress said, "And when you get so much praise from the seniors it does not make you feel that you are doing something wrong and it makes you think to do better."
The actress claimed that she was told that whatever they are doing is not wrong and during that time period no legal notice was given to them at it did not seemed to her that anything wrong was happening.
When Chopra was asked about pornography being illegal and why did she got involved in the films, she claimed that she was first one who went to Maharashtra Cyber Crime branch. Lastly, she said that neither she made a film nor did she made a porn film on the pretext of giving work to any girl.
The Bombay High Court reserved its order on plea filed by Kundra and his associate Ryan Thorpe on August 2, who challenged their arrest in a case in connection with distribution and production of the porn films racket case.
