Title of Kartik Aaryan's 'Satyanarayan Ki Katha' to be changed

Director Sameer Vidwans made the announcement, said the step was taken to avoid hurting religious sentiments

Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan's upcoming movie Satyanarayan ki Katha which is set for a release later this year which will undergo a title change.

Director Sameer Vidwans took to social media to announce the decision and said that it was done to avoid hurting any religious sentiments and a new title will be announced soon.

Sameer Vidwanst in his statement on Twitter wrote, “A title of the film is something that emerges organically through the creative process. We have taken a decision to change the title of our recently announced film 'Satyanarayan ki Katha' to avoid hurting sentiments, even if that's purely unintentional."

He further stated,"Producers of the film and the creative team also are in complete support of this decision. We will be announcing a new title for our love story in the due course of our journey. Sincerely, Sameer Vidwans (sic)."

Kartik Aaryan shared the same announcement on Twitter as well as on Instagram.

The film recently got embroiled in a controversy in Madhya Pradesh. Hinduist organisation, Sanskriti Bachao Manchon Saturday register a criminal case against producer Sajid Nadiadwala in different police stations of Bhopal.

On the work front, Kartik was recently replaced in Dharma Productions Dostana 2 and also from Red Chillies Entertainment's Freddie. He will now be seen in the upcoming Ram Madhvani's action thriller Dhamaka and also Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
