'Black Widow' is all about 'self forgiveness', says Scarlett Johansson

Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is first major superhero movie.

Actor Scarlett Johansson much awaited film ‘Black Widow’ has hit the theatres after a long wait of two years.

 

During promotions, the actress revealed how this movie was different for her. Scarlett Johansson plays Natasha Romanoff in ‘Black Widow’ and in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is first major superhero movie.

 

The actor is set alone in the film after ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and features the role having to confront her past.

 

Johansson hinted, "Yelena is the woman who is saying to her, look, you experienced this and you need to examine it and it`s not okay... this is why you don't sleep at night, and neither do I. It's a very powerful experience."

 

Yelena is Natasha's younger sister and also played Oscar-nominee Florence Pugh.

 

On the other side, Pugh also told Fox News that she really admired her character in the film despite all that the character had gone through and ever came out of that experience as weak.

 

She further added, "I really appreciate the everything that came out of her mouth was very honest, and even though it may be harsh at times, it was real and it was very human".

 

Black Widow is currently on theatres and is streaming on Disney+Hotstar.
