Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar in ICU

As per the initial reports, she came in contact with COVID-19

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar has been rushed to Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital after she tested positive for COVID-19. 

As per the initial reports, the nightingale of India is currently undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit. Doctors are running several tests in order to determine if the singer has been affected by the Omicron variant. 

Rachna, her niece has confirmed the news of her hospitalization. The family member also said that the singer has mild symptoms but due to her old age and some health issues, she has been shifted to the ICU for her own safety. 

Lata Mangeshkar, was born on 28 September, 1929. She was honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke Award, Bharat Ratna. Officer of the Legion of Honour, which is France's highest civilian award, was also given to her by the French government. She also received numerous national and international awards too and has also registered her name in the Guinness Book of World Records.
