The controversial queen, Kangana Ranaut starrer Thalaivii's Hindi version is finally streaming on an OTT platform, Netflix
The film is picturised on the life of the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalithaa which dropped on the streaming platform at midnight on September 25, 2021.
The Tamil version of the movie will be out on a different OTT platform, on Amazon Prime.
The film is directed by AL Vijay Thalaivii is written by KV Vijayendra Prasad Madhan Karky for the Tamil version and Rajat Arora for the Hindi film.
Whereas Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R Singh have produced the biopic on the great leader.
Alongside with Ranaut the Thalaivii also stars Arvind Swami Nassar, Bhagyashree Raj, Arjun Madhoo, Jisshu Sengupta, Thambi Ramaiah, Shamna Kasim and Samuthirakani in other pivotal roles.
Arvind plays the role of former Chief Minister of the statement, MG Ramachandran aka MGR in the film.
Initially during the release of Thalaivii Kangana had penned a emotional note with a picture on her Instagram handle.
The drama actress wrote, "Two years ago I embarked on a journey to play one of India's most iconic women onscreen."
Kangana added, "There were many obstacles and challenges in our way but what kept me and my team going was the passion for Jaya Amma and Cinema."
Reportedly, there are speculations that a sequel to Thalaivii is in the line which will showcase Jayalalithaa's life post becoming the CM of Tamil Nadu.
