Netflix announces first Indian dating reality show

IRL: In Real Love comes after the popularity of the shows Indian Matchmaking and Love is Blind among others in top streamers

American streaming platform Netflix has provided us with a huge range of series, films and shows that have made a permanent place in our memories.


Now, the streaming giant announced its first Indian dating reality show that is ‘IRL: In Real Love’, which is produced by Raghu Ram's Monozygotic, a content and brand communications studio.


This show will complements the popular titles which are already available on the platform like Indian Matchmaking, Love is Blind and Too Hot to Handle among others that focus on love, dating and finding the right partner.


Netflix India, International Originals, Director Tanya Bami said, "We are excited to expand our offering in the reality genre with a distinctive dating format, IRL: In Real Love".


Tanya Bami further added, "The choices and conundrums we experience every day will be put to test in the show’s unique social experiment. We look forward to unravelling some extraordinary love stories on Netflix".


She also said that the show concept is based on a true reflection of the times we love and live in.


Netflix has been expanding its slate of Indian Originals with every years. They also announced an anthology series named Feels Like Ishq which will release on 23 July. The series is directed by Ruchir Arun, Tahira Kashyap Khurrana, Anand Tiwari, Danish Aslam, Jaydeep Sarkar, Sachin Kundalkar and Devrath Sagar.
