19-year-old dies of cardiac arrest while playing PUBG

The police has informed that the teenager was rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival

A 19-year-old boy reportedly died in Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh after he allegedly collapsed due while playing PUBG on his mobile phone.

 

The Press Trust of India reported on Tuesday quoting the local police that the cause of his death could be a cardiac arrest.

 

As per to the report, the incident took place on Sunday afternoon and the boy identified as Deepak Rathore was a student of 11 grade and had a disability in his legs.

 

Anil Sharma who is in-charge of the area police station has informed that the teenager was rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

 

The police said that the teenager usually stayed at home and attended classes online and spent the rest of time playing games on his mobile phone.

 

The PTI reported that the body of the teenager was handed over to the family after post mortem and viscera samples would be sent to Bhopal for examination.

 

As per to the police, their initial investigation has revealed that the teenager might have died due to a heart arrest. And, a case has been registered and further investigation is still going on.

The original PUBG (Player Unknown Battle Grounds) Mobile got banned the previous year in India after concerns were raised from several quarters and other versions of the game are available to mobile users across the country.
