Bank Nifty at record high, tops 38,350; Sensex and Nifty trades flat

Domestic equity market benchmarks were trading in red on Tuesday

Indian share market benchmarks Bombay Stock Exchange Sensex and broader NSE Nifty 50 were ruling in red on Tuesday.

The 30-share BSE Sensex was trading 141.07 points or 0.23 percent lower at 59,936. Similarly, the NSE Nifty 50 declined 23.80 points or 0.13 percent to 17,831.

On the sectoral front, Bank Nifty at record high level, jumped 38,350. Nifty PSU Bank index up 1.3 percent while Nifty IT index declined  one percent.

Bharti Airtel is at the bottom, declining 2.15 percent. HCL Tech, Infosys, Asian Paints, Tech Mahindra, TCS and Bajaj Finance were among top Sensex losers. 

Reliance Industries Ltd  share price hit a fresh high on BSE  of rupees 2,556.90 a piece.

Power Grid Corporation of India was at the top, rising 4.09 percent. State Bank of India (SBI), Ultratech Cement, NTPC, RIL and Titan Company were among the top BSE Sensex gainers. 

In the international market, the Asian indices were trading mix, bourses in Shanghai and Hong Kong were trading in green while Tokyo and Seoul were with losses in mid-session deals.
