According to the holiday list released by the Reserve Bank of India the banks in India will be closed for 15 days in the month of July. To which 9 holidays will happen due to various festivals in different states and rest of them are usual weekend offs.
The main holiday in the month of July is of Eid-al-Adha or Bakrid on July 21 where all banks will remain closed. As per RBI guidelines all banks including the public sector, private sector, foreign banks, cooperative banks and regional banks across the country should remain closed on the notified holidays.
As per RBI’s holiday calendar apart from the weekends certain bank holidays are limited to local or regional branches which means that not all banks will remain closed for 15 days which is a huge relief to people.
