Centre allows 100% theatre occupancy

The move had been welcomed by the guild association.

The Ministry of Home Affairs had released a new set of covid protocols and SOPs for February. The ministry also said that the theatre occupancy, which is currently at 50 per cent, will be increased further. Now, as expected, the centre has given its nod to 100 per cent theatre occupancy from February 4.
 
The Ministry of Information And Broadcasting had also issued new detailed SOPs for cinema halls. The general guidelines like the availability of hand sanitizers, physical distancing, and prohibition of spitting is need to be followed and also the new guidelines encourage online ticket bookings and compulsory sanitization of halls after each screening.
 
The guidelines have also issued SOPs for air-conditioning/cooling in theatres. The temperature setting of all air-conditioning devices should be in the range of 24-30 Celsius.
 
The SOPs also stated, "Proper crowd management in the parking lots and outside the premises and physical distancing norms shall be ensured." The move had been welcomed by the guild association. India had already started the largest Vaccination drive and also sends vaccines to many countries.
