Diesel price rise again, petrol prices remains unchanged

Diesel prices increased by twenty five paise per litre in Delhi to Rs 89.07 per litre on Sunday

The oil marketing companies on Sunday announced that they are increasing the pump price of diesel marginally while the petrol prices have maintained stability. Diesel prices increased by twenty five paise per litre in Delhi to Rs 89.07 per litre on Sunday. According to Indian Oil Corporation, the petrol price remained unchanged for the 21th consecutive day.
 
The price of diesel was also raised on Friday  by 20 paise per litre which oil marketing company said that it was due to  global price movement of the fuel.
 
In the financial capital of India, the petrol price was stable at Rs 107.26 per litre while diesel rate reached Rs 96.68 a litre. The Fuel prices have been levitating at record levels on account of 41 increases in its retail rates since April this year.
 
On Sunday, Brent crude rose over $78 a barrel and oil rates are up two per cent for the week. The pricing formula adopted by companies shows that the rates of diesel and petrol are to be reviewed and revised on a daily basis and new prices will become effective from morning at 6 a.m.
