Gold futures trades flat, silver touches Rs 63,655 per kg mark

Gold rates were trading flat on Tuesday as international prices remained steady


India Gold Multi Commodity Exchange October futures traded flat on Tuesday following muted trend seen in global spot gold prices amidst a strong dollar and a rise in Delta variant if Covid-19 cases.


On MCX, gold October futures were trading rupees 14 up at rupees 47,239 per 10 gram, and Silver September futures touches rupees 63,650 per kilogram mark.


Gold price of 22-carat in Chennai is rupees 44,480 per 10 gram. While, in Kolkata 22-carat gold retails at rupees s 46,500 per 10 gram.


Gold prices for 22-carat in Mumbai and Delhi is rupees 45,970 per 10 gram and rupees 46,160 per 10 gram.


In international markets, the yellow metal prices were steady as support from safe refuge demand amidst the rise in Delta variant of Covid-19 cases offset pressure from a stronger dollar.


Spot gold was little changed at USD 1,787 per ounce, and US gold futures eased 0.1 percent to USD 1,788.
