Gold was trading higher in the India on July 2. On the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX), August gold contracts were trading 0.32 percent or by rupees 137 higher at rupees 47,188 for 10 grams.
September silver contracts were trading 0.26 percent higher at rupees 69,299 for a kilogram.
Gold rates in the national capital is rupees 46,150 per 10 gram for 22-carat and rupees 50,150 per 10 gram for 24-carat.
And, in Mumbai it is rupees 46,190 per 10 gram of 22-carat and rupees 47,190 per 10 gram of 24-carat.
Gold price in Kolkata and Chennai is rupees 46,340 and rupees 44,430 per 10 gram for 22-carat and rupees 49,050 and rupees 48,470 per 10 gram of 24-carat, respectively.
Whereas, in the international market, the gold rates traded 0.15 per cent higher at USD 1,774 per ounce in New York.
