Gold prices see a hike but remain below Rs 47,000 mark

Yellow metal prices today in India were trading at a two-week high

Gold prices in India were trading at a two-week high on Tuesday tracking the international peers.

 

On Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX), the August gold increased 0.34 per cent higher to rupees 47,459 for 10 grams. While, silver futures were trading 0.37 per cent higher at rupees 70,298 per kilogram.

 

The 22-carat gold rate in Mumbai is rupees 46,430 per10 gram and rupees 47,430 per 10 gram of 24-carat.

 

In national's capital Delhi, gold prices of 22-carat stood at rupees 46,500 per 10 gram and at rupees 50,500 per 10 gram of 24-carat.

 

Gold price of 22-carat in Chennai is rupees 44,730 per 10 gram and rupees 48,800 per 10 gram of 24-carat.

 

In Kolkata, gold prices for 22-carat stood at rupees 46,920 per 10 gram and gold rate is rupees 49,620 per 10 gram of 24-carat.

 

Globally, gold rates soared to a nearly two-week high. Spot gold was steady at USD 1,792.34 per ounce and US gold futures rose by 0.5 per cent to USD 1,792.
