Yellow metal prices in India gained on Wednesday, even as the prices in international markets remained firm.
Gold October futures were trading up at rupees 72 or 0.15 per cent at rupees 47,011 per 10 gram on Multi Commodity Exchange. In the previous session, gold futures closed at rupees 46,939.
While, the Silver December futures were up rupees 29 at rupees 64,650 per kilogram, as against the previous close of rupees 64,621.
Gold rate today in the national capital and Mumbai is rupees 46,550 and rupees 46,410 per 10 grams of 22-carat.
Gold is retailing in Chennai at rupees 44,740 per 10 grams of 22-carat.
Gold price In Kolkata, gold rate for 10 grams of 22-carat is rupees 46,850 .
In the international market, gold prices were firm after slipping 1.6 percent in the previous session when it surged the key level of USD 1,800.
Spot gold rose 0.1 per cent to USD 1,796.03 per ounce, surging slightly above the more than one-week low of USD 1,791.90 on Tuesday and US gold futures were firm at USD 1,799.40.
