Gold slides below Rs 47,400 mark, silver near Rs 63,050

In international markets, gold prices decline today as the US dollar inched higher

The precious metals gold and silver rates decline sharply in Indian markets today after a run-up over the past several sessions. On Multi Commodity Exchange, october gold futures fell 0.55 percent to rupees 47,360 per 10 gram after rising for four days straight and September silver futures down 0.7 percent to rupees 63,051 per kg.
 
Gold rates in the national capital, Delhi for 10 grams of 22-carat have remained at rupees 46,610 and that of 10 grams of 24-carat gold is at rupees 50,840. In the business capital Mumbai, the gold price of 22-carat for 10 grams is rupees 46,660 and rupees 47,660 per 10 grams of 24-carat.
 
The yellow metal rates in Kolkata per 10 grams of 22-carat is at rupees 46,960 and the rate of 10 grams of 24-carat is at rupees 49,660. In international markets, gold prices decline today as the US dollar inched higher.
 
Spot gold fell 0.4 perceng to USD 1,796 per ounce while among precious metals silver eased 0.4 percent to USD 23.73 per ounce while platinum down  0.5 percent to USD1,005.
