IIT alumnus quits job to buy 20 cows; Know why

Even being in six years into his job in US, he realised his passion for agriculture and decided to do something about it

As IIT alumnus who quits job to buy 20 cows is going viral all over the Internet for a different reason. The IIT graduate Kishore Indukuri turned down for his ambitious career switch to a different field is making headlines for different reason.


Born in a middle-class Indian family, Indukuri achieved prestigious milestone in his career, graduated from IIT Kharagpur and completed his Master's and Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst had secured a well-paying job at Intel, but he left all those and did something different!


Life take a turn when even being in six years into his job, he realised his passion for agriculture and decided to do something about it. As his family owned some farmland in Karnataka, he was already used to field visits and interaction with farmers before finally decided to quit his prestigious US job and returned to India in 2012.  He stayed in Hyderabad and researched about milk to find out there were very limited options for safe milk in the city.


The research inspired him to start his own dairy brand in Hyderabad, for which he purchased 20 cows from Coimbatore. First he started his business on a subscription basis and over time his customer base grew. In 2016, he officially registered the business as 'Sid's Farm'.


Now, as of today he delivers milk to over 10,000 customers daily and has over 120 employees working for him.


Interestingly, his turnover was over Rs 44 crore annually!!!!!
