Mukesh Ambani, the Chairman of the Reliance Industries Limited, while addressing the Qatar Economic Forum, said that governments and civil society will have to work as an alliance for the global economy.
He told Bloomberg Television’s Haslinda Amin that,“Digital divide must be bridged, both among nations and within nations this is because connectivity and communication have become the basic needs and also fundamental rights of every human being on the planet as basic as food, clothing and shelter."
Speaking about the present challenges for the world, Ambani said that the first challenge is to make sure that we get rid of vaccination divide in the world.
While sharing his vision for a post-pandemic world and how global commerce has changed forever, he said that it is challenge for all of us, particularly more in the developed countries.
He added that the second challenge is to make sure we bring back the world economies which will not only benefits the stimulus, and government money, but by really supporting the whole global economy to come back and grow.
He also shared his opinion on digitalisation and the role business can play in creating a fairer future for all. To which, he stresses on removing the digital divide from the world.
