Tech Giant and one of India’s most popular mobile brand Redmi will soon about to launch its smart TVs in India. Redmi already sells smart TVs in China and the company is now looking to do the same in India
The information comes from tipster Mukul Sharma in Twitter where in a tweet, he says, "Thought that large TVs are expensive? Redmi might finally launch smart TVs in India at competitive prices, as early as March. Could it be the Redmi Smart TV X series TV, which launched in China last year? It was available in a 55" variant and a 65'' variant."Since there is no official information about the TV from Redmi, we suggest you take this leak with a pinch of salt.”
According to information circulating the internet suggests that Redmi Smart TV X55 and the Redmi Smart TV X65 would be in India. The same launched in China back in 2020. Both the 55 and 65-inch Redmi Smart TV have the same specifications with the only difference is the screen size. It has a metal frame and assertions of a 97 percent of screen-to-body ratio. The TVs also has far-field mics which let people to control the TV without resorting to the remote control. The Redmi Smart TVs has four 12.5W speakers paired along with four low-frequency speakers, the Redmi Smart TV X series comes with an eight-speaker unit. There’s support for Dolby Audio as well as DTS-HD support.
The TV has its support for Dolby Audio and DTS: HD. It is a 4K TV with support for HDR. The TVs have a refresh rate of 60Hz. The TV supports Bluetooth 5, dual-band Wi-Fi and comes with 3 HDMI ports and 2 USB ports for connectivity needs. The Redmi Smart TV is powered by a quad-core CPU, 2GB RAM and comes with 32GB built-in storage. It is said that the Redmi Smart TV 55-inch and 65-inch will be available as early as March.
The Redmi Smart TV X series models offer bezel-less screens with a screen-to-body ratio of 97 per cent. The TVs also feature a metal frame instead of a plastic frame on the existing Mi TV 4 models. The entire range comes with a 4K panel that also comes baked in with a 60Hz Motion Estimation, and Motion Compensation (MEMC) compensation algorithm. TheRedmi Smart TV X Series has far-field voice recognition technology that lets users say commands to the TV without the need of a remote controller. This could be a big convenience for those who frequently rely on voice commands to operate their smart TVs.
The TVs use a quad-core chipset with Cortex A73 cores and Cortex A53 cores processor. This is paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The Chinese version runs on PatchWall UI which is based on Android AOSP.
It is expected that a 55 inch TV can start from Rs 40,000 to Rs 55,000 depending on the brand and features on offer and a 65-inch Tv can range between 55,000 and Rs 70,000 depending on the brand and features.
