Indian Share market benchmarks Bombay Stock Exchange Sensex and broader NSE Nifty 50 were trading at record high levels on Tuesday.
The NSE Nifty 50 index was up 0.18 percent or 57.55 points at 16,988 and the BSE Sensex rose 0.32 percent or 182.22 points to 57,071.
Apart from Nifty Auto, all the sectoral indices were trading in gains. Bank Nifty gained 0.32 percent and Nifty IT rose over 1 percent.
Bharti Airtel is the top BSE Sensex gainer, rising over 2.59 percent, followed by HCL Tech, Asian Paints, Sun Pharma, TCS and Titan Company.
M&M is the top Sensex loser, down by 0.71 percent, followed by SBI, IndusInd Bank, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Infosys, Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) and Tech Mahindra.
The India's GDP data is set to be release later today and will show the impact of state-level lockdowns to restrain the resurgence in Covid-19 infections during the second wave of the deadly virus.
