Indian share market witnessed mixed opening on Tuesday. Share market benchmarks Bombay Stock Exchange Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading flat on the back of weak Asian cues.
Bombay Stock Exchange Sensex was up 12.43 points or 0.02% at 52,748. While, the Nifty50 index was higher by 4.25 points or 0.03% at 15,818.
The top Sensex gainer was Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) followed by Asian Paints, Larsen & Toubro, TCS, HCL Tech, NTPC.
HDFC Bank was the top Sensex loser. Tech Mahindra, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank, Infosys, Axis Bank, Bharti Airtel were among the other top laggards.
Global share markets reached new highs for the second straight session of the week boosted by U.S. equities. Australia and Japanese Equities opened with early losses. The South Korean market was down 0.39 per cent as well as the Chinese stocks were also 1.06 per cent lower.
