Indian share market benchmarks Bombay Stock Exchange Sensex and broader NSE Nifty 50 were trading with gains on Tuesday.
The BSE Sensex rose as much as 261 points to hit an intraday high of 55,816 and broader Nifty 50 touched an intraday high of 16,585.
Nifty Bank was marginally down, trading below 35,100. Nifty Auto, Nifty Financial Services were also trading with losses. While on the other side of the table, Nifty FMCG, Nifty IT, Nifty Metal and Nifty Pharma were trading with gains.
Bajaj Finserv was the top BSE Sensex gainer, rising 3.35 per cent followed by Tata Steel, Tech Mahindra NTPC, , Power Grid Corporation of India, L&T and IndusInd Bank.
On the other side of the table, Dr. Reddy’s labs is the top Sensex loser, down with 1.56 per cent, followed by Asian Paints, Kotak Bank, Nestle India, Sun Pharma and HDFC.
While in Asian market, bourses in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Seoul were trading with the deep green in mid-session deals.
