The national stock exchange opened with gains on Wednesday morning, but failed to hold the highs and soon cut down to their gains to trade flat with positive bias.
S&P BSE Sensex gained 14.25 points and was closed at 52,700 while the Nifty rose 26.25 point gave up at 15,800.
The top gainer in the Sensex pack was IndusInd Bank following by Maruti, L&T, UltraTech Cement, TCS and Titan. While, among the laggards were Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance, Nestle India and HUL.
In Asia, Big Board in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Seoul and Tokyo were trading with gains in mid-session deals. Stock exchanges in Europe too were at large trading with gains in mid-session deals.
