Sensex rallies over 450 points, Nifty above 18,450

Domestic equity market benchmarks opened at all-time highs on Monday amidst mixed global cues

Indian share market benchmarks Bombay Stock Exchange Sensex and broader NSE Nifty 50 started Monday’s trading session at fresh all-time highs amidst mixed global cues.
The 30-share BSE Sensex breached the 61,800 mark while the broader Nifty 50 was around 18,500 in the initial deals.
The BSE Sensex was trading high 480.94 points or 0.78 percent at 61,786 and broader NSE Nifty 50 wax trading 158.35 points or 0.86 percent at 18,496.
Broader markets were following the positive trend. While, Bank Nifty was up 1 percent, crossing 39,700 mark.
Titan Company was the top gainer on Sensex, up 4.16 percent, followed by Tata Steel, Infosys, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Finserv and Power Grid.
HCL Tech  was down as the worst-performing stock on Sensex, falling 1.69 percent. It was followed by Asian Paints, Bajaj Auto, Dr Reddy’s Labs, HDFC Bank, HDFC,  Bajaj Auto and IndusInd Bank.
The domestic share market remained closed on Friday on account of ‘Dussehra’.
In the international market, the Asian benchmarks, bourses in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo were trading negative in the mid-session deals, while Seoul bourses was up in gains.
