Indian share market benchmarks Bombay Stock Exchange Sensex and broader NSE Nifty 50 opened deep in red on Monday morning.
But, soon the indices made a remarkable comeback into the positive territory within the initial hour of trade.
The BSE Sensex was trading 80.94 points or 0.14 percent up at 59,096. Similarly, Nifty 50 up 9.15 points or 0.052 percent to 17,594.a
Bank Nifty was still trading with losses along with sectoral markets apart from India VIX, which was up 6 percent.
Hindustan Unilever was the top gainer on Sensex, up 2.66 percent, followed by ITC, HCL Technologies, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Sun Pharma.
Tata Steel was the top dragger on Sensex, was down 4.59 percent, followed by HDFC, Bajaj Auto, Power Grid and Dr Reddy’s Labs.
In the global markets, the Asian benchmarks, Heng Seng was trading with deep losses, while China, Japan and Tokyo remained shut.
