Indian stock markets benchmarks began the Monday’s trade in the positive territory, recovering some losses from the previous week.
The Bombay Stock ⁴ange Sensex was trading 411 points or 0.74 percent higher at 55,740, while the broader NSE Nifty 50 jumped 109 points or 0.66 percent to 16,559.
Bank Nifty jumped 0.4 percent to trade above 35,100 and all the broader markets were trading in the green. While, India VIX was trading with losses.
HCL Technologies was up 3.23 percent as the top Sensex gainer, followed by Tech Mahindra, TCS, Asian Paints, and Bajaj Finance.
While, Tata Steel was the top index dragged, down 2. 89 percent followed PowerGrid, HUL, Bajaj Auto, Mahindra & Mahindra, Titan and Dr Reddy’s Labs.
Elsewhere in Asian market, bourses in Shanghai Hong Kong, Seoul and Tokyo were trading with firms gains in mid-session deals.
