The low cost domestic Indian airline SpiceJet has unveiled a special livery on its Boeing 737 aircraft at the Delhi airport on Thursday. The initiative is taken to celebrate India's milestone of administering 100 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses. The livery bears an image of PM Modi and healthcare workers adorned three Boeing 737 aircraft of SpiceJet.
Health minister Mansukh Mandaviya, on this occasion said that the country is feeling proud today because of this significant achievement. He also congratulated the health workers.
Ajay Singh, chairman and managing director of SpiceJet was also present on the occasion and said that reaching this milestone in mere 279 days is due to the efforts of health workers and the cooperation of citizens.
"Our aircraft livery is a small tribute to the success of India's vaccination mission and a celebration of its never-say-die spirit,” he said.
As per government reports, around 75 per cent of the country's eligible adult population has been inoculated with at least one dose and 31 per cent has received both the doses of the vaccine.
