Stock markets, commodities closed today on account of Muharram

The domestic share markets BSE and NSE, are closed on August 19 on the account of Muharram

The domestic stock markets Bombay Stock Exchange Sensex and National Stock Exchange are closed today (August 19), on the account of Muharram.
 
The Multi Commodity Exchange India (MCX) will remain closed for the morning  trading sessions that is between 9 AM and 5 PM. It will open during the next half session that is between 5 PM and 11:30 PM and 11:55 PM.
 
The National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX), the exchange will remain closed during the first half session between 9 AM and 5 PM and will begin operations from 5 PM till 9 PM.
 
The wholesale commodity markets, including metals and bullion, will also remain closed today and the will be no trading activity in the forex and commodity futures markets either.
 
The BSE Sensex was trading 252 points or up 0.40 percent at its lifetime high of 56,044, while the NSE Nifty 50 was trading 66 points or 0.40 percent high to record 16,681, on August 18.
