Fuel rates in India have maintained a solidity amidst weakening of the global oil rates over the surge in production and concerns on demand.
The oil marketing companies (OMCs) on Wednesday kept the petrol and diesel prices unchanged for the third consecutive day.
The OMCs have also decided to wait and watch the oil situation globally before making any further changes in the price.
Hence, the price of auto fuel remains unchanged at rupees 101.19 and rupees 88.62 per litre for petrol and diesel, respectively in Delhi, as per Indian Oil Corporation, which is the India's largest fuel retailer.
In Mumbai, the petrol price was firm at rupees 107.26 per litre and while diesel price also remained unchanged at rupees 96.19 per litre.
Though the fuel prices remained static across the country on Wednesday but their retail rates varied depending on the local taxes in different states.
The auto fuel consumers can anticipate petrol and diesel prices to remain unchanged or get some relief by way of a cut off in days ahead as global oil price is expected to remain weak.
