Yellow metal below Rs 46,500 may turn bearish ; Silver trades lower

Gold rates were trading lower in India on Tuesday, following international trends on a stronger dollar

Yellow metal were trading low in India on Tuesday, following some international trends on a stronger dollar.

 

Gold October futures were trading rupees 34 down at rupees 46,874 per 10 gram on Multi-Commodity Exchange. It closed at rupees 46,908 in the previous session.

 

While, Silver December futures were ruling at rupees 63,130 per kilogram, down rupees 169 as against thethe previous close at rupees 63,299.

 

Gold rate in the financial capital is rupees 46,010 per 10 gram of 22-carat and in national capital is rupees 46,140 per 10 gram of 22-carat.

 

Gold prices in Chennai and Kolkata per 10 gram of 22-carat is rupees 44,390 and is rupees 46,550.

 

In the international market, gold prices declined even if a stronger dollar crimped bullion’s appeal ahead of United States inflation data that could offer cues on the possible timeline for the Federal Reserve’s tapering.

 

Spot gold decline 0.2 percent to USD 1,790.74 per ounce and US gold futures eased 0.1 percent to USD 1,792.
