India reports 1.52 lakh COVID cases, lowest daily in 50 days

The COVID19 recovery rate has increased to 91.60 per cent

In a ray of hope, India’s Covid cases reaching nadir as it reported 1.52 lakh new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. It is the lowest daily rise in 50 days as confirmed by the Union Health Ministry on Monday.

The weekly positivity rate of COVID infections in the country stands at just a little over 9 per cent.

In the latest update, India recorded 1,52,734 fresh infections, 2,38,022 recoveries and 3,128 deaths in the last 24 hours.

The total number of cases in the country reaches to 2.80 crore and the death toll stands at 3.29 lakh. Meanwhile, more than 2.56 crore people have recovered from the virus. The active cases now stand at 20.26 lakh in the county.

For now, the Health Ministry also confirmed that India has vaccinated more than 21.31 crore people so far against COVID.

On a positive note, the COVID19 recovery rate has increased to 91.60 per cent.

The weekly positivity rate is currently at 9.04 per cent and the daily positivity rate at 9.07 per cent, less than 10 per cent for 7 consecutive days.
