The Maharastra state government has further eased the Covid-19 induced restrictions in view of the declining cases.

Maharashtra reported 1,485 fresh cases of coronavirus on Monday which is its lowest single-day record in over 17 months.

 

According to the Health Ministry data, the state on May 12, 2020, logged 1,026 cases.

 

Mumbai logged 371 fresh Covid-19 cases on Monday and four casualties.

 

Rajesh Tope, the state health minister informed about the decision on extending shop timings in Maharashtra till midnight and restaurants can remain open till past 1 am.

 

The Department of disaster management will draft the Covid-19 guidelines in this regard ahead of the festival, Diwali.

 

Earlier on Monday, Maharashtra government has announced that amusement parks, excluding water rides, will resume operations from October 22.

 

And, decision on resuming the water parks will be made at a later date.

 

Chief Minister of the state Uddhav Thackeray held a series of meetings on Monday, including with the members of the Covid-19 task force, to decide the further relief of restrictions.

 

CM Thackeray also met representatives of theatres and cinema halls, and a chief delegations of truck, tempo, and bus transport federation.
