No vaccines, no school: Parents initiate campaign in Rajasthan

The Government has been asked to withdraw the decision by the parents association.

With the rising number of COVID-19 cases and the emergence of third wave, parents of school students in Rajasthan has come with 'No vaccine, no school' campaign to protest against the state government’s decision to resume schools from August 2 for all students from Nursery to Class 12.

 

The parents are accusing the Government of reopening schools due to the pressure imposed on them by the private schools to complete fees during the pandemic when there are no offline classes taking place.

The parents demanded that the schools should not be resumed till the vaccines are available.

 

The education minister in his tweet has said, “All schools in Rajasthan shall open from August 2." Reacting to which, many urged that the education minister should resign.

 

Meanwhile, experts have warned that in August there's a high chance of COVID third wave to hit India badly.
