Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched the ‘Customized Crash Course programme for COVID-19 Frontline workers’.
The course in its first phase will train 1 lakh people to aide front workers in the fight against COVID-19. In his virtual address, Modi said, “The next step of the battle against COVID is beginning today."
The course be offered through 111 training centers spread over 26 states. It will have six different modules which will train learners for six different roles including homecare support, basic-care support, advanced care support, emergency care support, sample collection support, and medical equipment support.
The programme is being offered under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0. The government claims that the course is designed by experts with a financial outlay of Rs 276 crore.
It is the first phase of the programme and it will be available to other job roles in future phases.
