Uttar Pradesh new guidelines relaxes night curfew by 2 hours

Restaurants and malls to open with 50 per cent capacity

The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has issued new guidelines which relaxed the night curfew by two hours from June 21.

UP chief secretary Rajendra Kumar Tiwari issued new guidelines and relaxed the state from corona curfew. From Monday onwards, the night curfew will be from 9 pm to 7 am. Initially, the night curfew was imposed from 7 pm to 7 am. No changes were made in
weekend lockdown rules, it will continue as usual.

New guidelines relaxes various activities such as opening of market outside the containment zones, full attendance in government offices and private offices following COVID-19 protocols. But, private companies have been asked to encourage work from home. Restaurants and malls are allowed to open with 50 per cent capacity on weekdays till 9 pm.

During weddings and other social gatherings, a maximum of 50 people will be allowed at both open and closed venues. And, only 50 people are allowed in a religious place at a time.

Schools and other educational institutions will remain closed. However, the faculty will be allowed to go for administrative work.

Auto-rickshaws will be allowed to run with maximum of two people to travel and maximum of four people are allowed to sit in four wheeler. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 339 fresh cases pushed the infection tally to 17,02,937 and 74 fatalities took the death toll in the state to 21,858.
