Amit Shah’s second-day rally in Bengal witnessed huge crowds and enthusiasm. Earlier heavyweight leader joined BJP, second day rally was no less than the first one. Shah had also tweeted upon reaching Kolkata “I bow to this revered land of greats like Gurudev Tagore, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, and Syama Prasad Mookerjee,” Union Home Minister Amit Shah holds a road show from Humana Mandir Stadium Road to Bolpur Chowrasta in West Bengal.
 
Addressing crowds at a public meeting in West Bengal's Bolpur on 20th December, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said he has witnessed several roadshows but encountered such a crowd for the first time he said “This is love and faith in Narendra Modi. I have seen many roadshows, done many but I want to say that I have not seen one like this in my years. This is your love for Modi. This is your anger against Didi,” he also added “Give one chance to Narendra Modi. We will make 'Sonar Bangla' in five years.”


 
Amit Shah and other party leaders including Mukul Roy &Dilip Ghosh had lunch at the residence of a Baul singer at Bolpur, Birbhum district. Then he holds a meeting with Viswa-Bharati University vice-chancellor Bidyut Chakraborty and members of the faculty. He also attended a cultural event presented by the students of the university at Sangeet Bhawan.


 
TMC on the other side had come up with the issue of posters showing Amit Shah's image above Tagore's during Shah's visit to Visva-Bharati University. TMC leader and Bengal Minister Subrata Mukherjee said BJP has insulted Tagore. Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid floral tributes to Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore at Rabindra Bhawan in Shanti Niketan.
