CM Mamata turns 'Chaiwali' in poll-bound west bengal

In a bid to kick-out the country's 'chaiwala' and chief from the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections, the state's Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has now become a 'chaiwali' in the poll battleground Nandigram.

As usual serving it piping hot, Mamata while on a round of Nandigram took a quick detour on Tuesday evening, to give her campaign a personal touch - preparing 'chai' and serving it to locals.

In visuals, the 'desperate-to-win' CM, in a white saree is seen holding a plastic tea-strainer and a saucepan filled with the hot tea. People gather about her as she pours the tea in six-seven paper cups at the roadside stall. Seconds later, the cups are served to the waiting crowd. This is not the first when Didi was seen serving chai to locals, in the past too she served tea while on a round of public events. In August 2019, she was seen making tea and serving it to locals in Bengal's Digha.

No wonder, Mamata, in a subtle manner sending a strong message to her arch-rival by showing and emphasising a ground connect with people in a humble manner at the poll battleground.
