14 workers injured an under-construction flyover collapses in Mumbai's BKC

The officials stated that the doctors confirmed that the condition of all of them was stable

After a portion of an under-construction flyover collapsed early on Friday at MTNL junction in suburban Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), civic officials said.
 
The civic officials said at least 14 laborers were injured during the mishap that occurred at 4.41 am and the injured workers were taken to the Vile Parle-based V N Desai Hospital.
 
The officials stated that the doctors confirmed that the condition of all of them was stable.
 
According to the initial report, the officials said the workers were of the age group of 21 to 49 years and were carrying out some work on the girder when it fell down.
 
The flyover is being constructed on Santacruz-Chembur Link Road (SCLR) to reduce traffic on the east-west link, besides for relieving congestion the BKC area that is one of the biggest business districts of Mumbai
