A idol of West Bengal's Chief Minister is installed at Kolkata Durga puja pandal

The idol of Mamata Banerjee has 10 hands that represents the ten schemes which were taken by her

Durga Puja, one of the most important festival of West Bengal is  just around the corner.
 
And, ahead of this, a theme-based pandal in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal has installed an idol of the Chief Minister of the state, Mamata Banerjee.
 
The pandal based on the theme of CM of the state is located at Nazrul Park Unnayan Samithi of Baguihati in North 24 Parganas.
 
The idol of Mamata Banerjee has 10 hands that represents the ten schemes which were taken by her.
 
News agency quoted the President of Baguiati Nazrul Park Unnayan Samiti, Indranath Baguiwho that, "Each hand of the idol represents one of her government's initiatives such as Lakhi Bhandar and others."
 
The idol of Mamata Banerjee has been created with fiberglass. The idol is also wearing a white saree and a logo of 'Biswa Bangla' in the background can be seen.
 
The artist behind the theme of the puja pandal has informed that it took them near 1.5 months to complete the pandal while following all the Covid-19 induced guidelines.
 
The pandal artist, Abhijit said, "It was difficult to convince workers to come. We made sure that all of them have received their vaccines. Then only they agreed to come to work here."
 
According to the Covid-19 guildelines issued by the state government, the Durga puja pandals should be spacious and open from all sides with separate entry and exit points.
 
The Durga Puja pandals must keep adequate space and ensure proper arrangements for physical distancing.
 
The festival of Navratri has started from October 7 and will ends with Dussehra or Vijaya Dashami on October 15.
