Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday directed officials to make arrangements to test symptomatic students for COVID-19 as a precautionary measure as the schools started from 16 August.
The CM said in a review meeting to make arrangements for testing of symptomatic students in the schools and he even instructed officials to implement strict COVID regulations in schools across the state.
He further checked the measures to be taken for an anticipated third wave and instructed that administration that vaccines must be done on higher priority.
According to reports, it has been ordered to recruit more doctors and health staff at all government hospitals within 90 days.
Authorities informed that the COVID-19 recovery rate has touched 98.45% while on Thursday, the state has registered around 1,063 new cases.
