Banks to remain shut for 8 festive days in September

RBI mentions the banks across the country will stay shut on the mentioned dates

In the month of September Banks will remain shut for 8 days in September 2021 in various states on account of different holidays.


The guidelines released by RBI mentions that the public sector, private sector, foreign banks, cooperative banks, and regional banks across the country will stay shut on the mentioned dates.


The list of Bank holidays September 2021 are given below:


On September 8, due to Tithi of Srimanta Sankardeva, banks will be closed in Guwahati. On September 9 due to Teej, banks will be closed at Gangtok.


The September 10 holiday Ganesh Chathurthi is applicable in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji.


On September 11 due to Second Saturday / Ganesh Chathurthi 2nd day in Panaji. Karma Puja in Ranchi on September 17. The holiday of September 20 is due to Indrajatra in Gangtok.


The September 21 holiday is only in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram for Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi Day and September 25 because of Fourth Saturday.
