Bomb threat at Mumbai's Taj hotel: later turn out to be hoax

A boy studying in 9th standard had made it as a prank

Taj Hotel received a bomb threat call on Saturday. Previously also it received bomb plant threat.


Following this, a Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) of Colaba Police Station had reached Hotel Taj area and conducted search operation. Three BDDS vehicles were rushed to the spot.


Hotel Taj was also targeted by terrorists in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. So police team is conducting a search operation by taking this case with serious ness. The system is also working as there is also private security of Hotel Taj inside the hotel.


A case was also registered at the Marine Drive police station after receiving a threat e-mail to plant a bomb in Mantralaya.


The call was finally traced to Karad in western Maharashtra's Satara district and it turned out that a boy studying in 9th standard had made it as a prank.
